Workshops

The Society intends to organise and support specialist workshops as part of its overall
programme of activities. The first of these was organised by Carl Phillips and
St. John Simpson and was on the subject of "Softstone in Arabia and Iran". It was
held at the British Museum on Wednesday 21 July 2004 and included speakers from
Britain, France, Germany, Russia, America and Canada, some of whom had travelled
specially for the event. The programme and abstracts were published electronically

It is expected to publish the full proceedings in the Society's Monographs series.
